Eagle Rock ATV Meeting - June 22, 2009 Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM, Ron Davis presided. Agenda Items: Welcome to attendees Finances / Dues: Club has about $234.00 in the bank. The ATV Education / PR Event at Kelly Canyon on June 13 was well attended. Representatives from the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, State Fish and Game and Bonneville County presented information on issues pertaining to ATV regulations, operation, safety, licensing, recreation. Lunch was served and a trail ride followed. The bridge building project at Nelson Creek on June 10 was postponed due to weather conditions and muddy road conditions. This project is tentatively rescheduled for July 1. More info to follow. There is a lot of trail maintenance that still need to be done. A suggestion was made to carry a Chainsaw along when you ride as there are still quite a few trees down on some of the trails. If you do any trail maintenance let Ron, Marvin or Joe know so our club can get credit for doing it with the Forest Service. The ATV ride on July 25 was changed from Pass Creek to Viola Mine area. Pass Creek was added to the ride schedule for September 19. Ms. Black presented information about a proposed Poker Run ATV Ride. It is planned for Aug 15 at 10:00 at Kelly Canyon. The cost is $20.00 per ATV. The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the Light House Montessori School. There will be more information at the next meeting. Eight ATVs and nine people participated in the ARCO Southern Butte ride on June 20. It was a good ride, in spite of a little rain and a little mud. No complaints about dust were heard. Thanks to the Arco Club for leading this event. It was suggested that more information be added to the Club Web Site such as the next ride and the next meeting. It was also pointed out that some spelling corrections are needed. The remaining ATV Ride Schedule / Calendar is as follows. This is a tentative schedule. Please call 529-2806 for confirmation. Sep 19 - Pass Creek Sep 22 - ATV Meeting Oct 3 - Hahn Town Site / Spring Mountain Oct 27 - ATV Meeting / Pizza Night Other rides may be added. Next meeting will be the 4th Tuesday in July. That will be July 28, bring a friend.
